This simple and rustic Creamy Mushroom Italian Chicken makes it’s own tangy and delicious gravy while it cooks. Use split chicken breast or boneless, skinless breast. The meat comes out moist and flavorful. Vegetables can be added.

Creamy Mushroom Italian Chicken
Ingredients:
4 boneless and skinless or bone-in chicken breasts
1 envelope dry Italian salad dressing mix
¼ cup water
8 ounces cream cheese — softened
1 can cream of chicken soup — undiluted
4 ounces well-drained canned or sautéed fresh mushrooms
Directions:
Place the chicken breast in the slow cooker. Combine the Italian dressing mix and water until smooth; pour over top of chicken. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
Combine the cream cheese and soup until smooth and blended. Stir in mushrooms. Pour mixture over chicken. Continue cooking until chicken is cooked through. If desired, chicken can be browned in the oven before serving.
Serve over hot cooked rice with a tossed salad and crusty rolls. Yummy!
